I wanted to take a moment to tell all my constituents and supporters that I thank you for the opportunity to have been able to serve as your Councilwoman. You put your faith in me to make the right decisions for our community at large and I'm very very grateful! It's been a privilege.
Sitting on Seat 2 (Group II) my first term has definitely been a learning experience venturing into the political arena. With the knowledge gained and understanding of government operation, I feel even more confident to serve our community leading into the future.
Additionally, so many emotions that came to play as well, being excited to voice your concerns, bringing items forward to the dais to be discussed or changes needed to be done and of course holding my ground to get me through turbulous waters when heavy items are brought forward and debated through. This experience has given me another layer of determination to pursue what is right.
With the experience of being a business owner and entrepreneur I've learned that serving as your Councilwoman and making decisions on best practices that will impact our city, is very similar to running your business but in this case in the lens of the Public eye. With that said I take my business and my public service very serious as it can directly impact our quality of life. Above all working in a professional and ethical environment is imperative to a functional operational platform in this case the city, to carry out my mission as your councilwoman.
I've taken ownership of my role as your Councilwoman to the furthest extent to be able to serve you to the best of my abilities and promote aggressive change, discussion as needed and provided sound financial input during the budgeting process. Below I have attached agenda items and accomplishments during my first term thus far as your Councilwoman and would be HONORED to serve you again 2023-2025!
